    Julia Hubbel

Julia Hubbel is an award-winning entrepreneur, international professional speaker, seminar leader and prize-winning journalist who specializes in the art of influence, relationships and charisma. Her innovative work in networking has resulted in a unique model for connecting and is the basis for her forthcoming book, The Hub Factor.

In 1997, Julia created a diverse network of top-level professional women in the American Inland Northwest, using her model for establishing relationships. The Hubbel Group became a voice for professional women from all backgrounds and spun off companies, partnerships and lasting friendships. The remarkable story of The Hubbel Group is profiled in the bestselling book Networking Magic, by Guerilla Marketing authors Rick Frishman and Jill Lublin.

Julia's work focuses on how people can leave a legacy of value through connecting rather than using networking as a selling tool. She helps people learn how to "leave people larger" through tapping into their natural charisma, having a service-focused attitude and committed to making a difference rather than always about making a sale. Her programs on gender and racial differences in networking have made her a popular speaker at major conferences nationwide and in other countries.

    • William Bridges Managing Organizational Transition - Today's business challenges require organizations to be prepared for the effects of change. Experience suggests that, if not properly implemented, change has the potential to leave people feeling resentful, unmotivated and confused at a time when commitment to the organization is crucial. In this program, offered in exclusive partnership with William Bridges & Associates, learn how to facilitate your employees successfully through the challenges of transition, whether in the context of a merger, downsizing or other organizational change. Walk away with the skills necessary to guide your employees smoothly through the change process.

    • Making Supplier Diversity Relationships Click - The Hub Factor helps diverse suppliers get more contracts with corporations and government agencies by helping them develop their value propositions, learn how to network more effectively and create collaborative relationships with their clients. Many suppliers lack the relationship skills that would help them create opportunities when they attend trade shows or open houses. As a result, many deals aren't made, and opportunities are lost. For Fortune 500 clients such as Lockheed Martin, Hewlett Packard and Bank of America, Julia Hubbel provides networking seminars, lunch and dinner keynotes and one on one coaching to suppliers.

    • Making Panels Click: Panels Made Perfect - Panels can either be the best or worst part of a conference. The keys are preparation and a great moderator. Julia Hubbel is known for her panel moderation skills. She prepares her panelists well in advance so that they are informed about the program, each other and the expectations of the conference audience. She ensures that her speakers not only stay on topic, but also on time. If you want your panel to wow your audience and enjoy the experience as well as each other, you'll want Julia Hubbel to provide the professional moderating experience that makes all the difference. (To provide the best possible program, you're requested to allow at least two months' notice to do the appropriate research and preparation.)

    • Making Sales Click - We live in a world where people can get your products from many vendors. This is about making them want it from YOU. In today's fast-moving business climate, you have to be far more sophisticated about how you spend your time. In sales, you have to be building your networks of leads and people who are referring leads to you. How well have you developed your pipelines? Are you working too hard for every sale you make? If so, you need to come to this seminar. You'll learn how to make it a pleasure for people to work with you and how to create networks of people who keep you top-of-mind, referring business to you on a regular basis- even when you're not around.

    • Coaching to Performance Standards - Whether we're a corporate manager or have a small company with one or two employees, we sometimes find ourselves having tough conversations with our people. How good are you at communicating the difficult information? Do you put it off to another time? Do you avoid it, hoping it will go away? Or do you water it down, lessening the impact because you're uncomfortable with the potential reaction? In all of these cases, we rob the other person of the value of the information they deserve: our honesty, the real feedback, things they need to hear in order to grow and become better at their jobs, and better people. We rob ourselves of the chance to grow as well.

    • Leader Empathy: Collaborative Leadership for the 21st Century© - Today's leaders have to manage cross culturally, develop relationships across race and gender and help teams find ways to collaborate across their differences and perform in times of high stress and demand. The old Command and Control style of leadership doesn't work with today's work force. From Boomers to Millennials, they expect respect and regard and to be heard. Leader Empathy is a program designed to develop your leaders' empathy skills: their ability to understand and connect with their employees, peers and bosses and thereby invite the best performance from them. This half-day to full-day program develops natural charisma, personal power and influence in leaders at all levels.
